I hate using the education board, cause noone goes there anymore. I missed the "orientation" the other morning for entering kids and their parets. When do I find out about who her teacher iss, whether she has an AM or PM class, etc. And, is there a school bus??? |

The first I knew of who my daughters teacher was and if she was AM or PM is when the school sent the letters out. I also missed the orientation last year! I can't remember though when the letters went out - I will try and find out.. A friend has her son take the school bus to the Annex |

Letters with teacher and AM/PM info go out in mid to late summer if I recall, as does bus data (if they've got their act together). There are shuttle buses to go between the two buildings -- beyond that, I can't answer. |

Note , this is not an official statement, but I will chime in anyway. AM/PM letters generally go out in early to mid July -- before the office staff leaves for the summer. teacher assignment letters go out the very end of August. Soparents and Susan 1014 are correct. There is a "shuttle" that runs between the 2 buildings. Depending on where you live, you are responsible for getting your child to the "Upper School" (on S O Ave), and a shuttle takes them to the Annex. If you live near Seton Hall, there is bus transportation provided directly to the Annex from a corner bus stop. Although things are a bit chaotic now with end of the year stuff, you can arrange for a tour of the building. Just call the school to set up an appointment (378 2800). Is your child already registered for K, but you just didn't make the orientation? We created "welcome" packets for every family that were distributed during orientation. If you'd like, I can see about getting you one. There was the supply list, some PTA info, some info about the Y's BSP/ASP, some library info (wink), a gift from the kindergarten teachers , etc. Feel free to PL me, or email me at school (which is better, as I can check that during the day) if you have any questions that I can help with, or pass along to the correct person. Shanabana, I will say that the K teachers are absolutely wonderful - whoever you get, your child will adore them! |

I'm so excited for her! I drove by the school the other day, and it's so bright and airy looking... I've heard great things. Thanks, all! I'll email you, Susanne. |
