Never been to HH but have heard nothing but rave reviews. Looking for suggestions on condo units that must be on the beach (I know I know but we're on vacation and I need to be on the beach). It's the deal for moving to NJ. Looking for condo instead of resort as we need to have w/d in unit.

Please share your suggestions. thanks!

I have been to Hilton Head, and it IS beautiful but I must say not my taste, altho I am actually from that part of the world. We used to say that it was frequented only by the overfed, the newly wed and the nearly dead, if that gives you an indication.

Try The Sea Pines Resort on Hilton Head Island. We took a last minute trip there last June. The resort was less of the "overfed, the newly wed and the nearly dead" (as mim put it). We stayed for 6 days at a very nice condo just a short walk to the beach over looking a beautiful golf course. There were activites for children and adults, camp and resaurants on premises that were good. We ventured out of the resort once or twice for dinner and it wasn't bad ... plus there were grocery stores and more just outside of the gates. Good luck!
