I have a wool pendelton blanket that I would like to wash rather than dry clean. Anyone have any experience washing one of these. How about putting it in the dryer? Will it shrink to crib size? |

Do not put wool in the dryer. Exactly right, shrinkage. I would also avoid the spin cycle - wrinkles. Also avoid stretching the fabric on a clothes line. Pendleton is too expensive for shabby treatment. |

Wool shrinks due to heat and to agitation. We have a wool blanket and it has survived washing on gentle with cold water and being hung to dry. |

I don't have experience, but what about one of those in-dryer "dry cleaning" kits?

I'd lay it flat to dry. |

I just washed it on gentle with regular detergent. I then laid it on the lawn in the sun to dry. It looks great. All smelling clean and fluffy soft. |
