We're getting a cushion made for a window seat and are speaking with them. Any experiences working with this outfit? Any other recommendations to offer for custom-made cushions? Thanks! |

I've heard good things about Terminal Mill Ends on Stuyvesant Avenue in Union. My sister has had some things recovered / reupholstered there and has been very pleased. Recently, a decorator we are working with recommended them for reupholstery, window treatments, and other similar things. |

I had mine done by a local upholster who works out of her home and by purchasing the material myself, and the foam, I saved at $200. I went to Terminal Mill Ends and they are great, but pricey. |

I had an antique chair "cleaned up" and reupholstered at Terminal Mill. Very good experience with them (I dealt with Sue). I agree with Boomie, prices are high for cushions, but it's quality work. |

We had our dining room windows and chairs, seat cushions for the kitchen, slip covers for our den all done by Terminal Mill (not all at the same time) They are not the cheapest nor the most expensive but were great to work with and we are very pleased with all of the results. Tabby |

I had a good feeling about the place (it's a family business that has been in business for 60 years), and your comments confirm that. My window seat is long with six angled corners. If I did the template myself, I might not get accurate measurements, which would then mess up the sizing for the foam and I know nothing about upholstery fabric. I was impressed that for a small job, the decorator came to the house (on time) to discuss the job, and then will come back to show me fabrics. And the price was half of what my worst case scenario predicted. So, I think I'm going to spring for it. Thanks for the input! |
