My aunt, God bless her, has been scrubbing these bricks with everything from soap to ammonia to get that white coating off the bricks. It's driving her nuts! Has anyone else had this problem? I did tell her to switch from a regular scrub brush to a wire brush to see if that helps any. She's going to get one tomorrow I think. In the meantime, any more suggestions? Thanks.

Is that what the problem is in some spots along Springfield Avenue? There's one block in particular that's really bad near the Farmers Market.
