I need to be in White Plains by 7:45am what is the best time to it across the GWB without getting stuck in massive amounts of traffic? I am coming from South Orange.... |

Arrive at the GWB by 6 AM and delays should be minimal. When I used to go to Stamford, I found that leaving Maplewood at 5:45 Am worked pretty well. For a 7:45 meeting, you might want to leave earlier. You can always have breakfast in White Plains if you arrive too early. |

I would take the Tappan Zee. Just shoot up the Parkway into NY State and head toward the bridge. Given the fact that traffic across the TZ or the GWB tends to get very, very heavy during rush hour, leaving 2 hours ahead of time doesn't seem terribly excessive. I think, without any traffic, it took me about an hour and fifteen to get to White Plains. |

Keywest: If you hit the GWB 6:30-7:00, it should be around a 20min, maybe 30 min delay. After 7:00, it could be an hour. So, what they said up there. |
