When I put my 20G iPod in its cradle to synch, it doesn't.

It says "Do not disconnect" as if it's synching, but in the morning, it still says "Do not Disconnect." When I eject it, it's charged but not synched.

Any explanations or suggestions? THANKS.

In iTunes there is an Update option on the File menu. See if that works

Also do a reset on the iPod, if that doesn't work. When you run the updater, you have the option of resetting too.

I just had the same thing in October Mr. T....If resetting it does not work, the Ipod can't be fixed. I took mine to the Apple store in the SHM. All they will do is try to hook it up and reset it themselves. THey don't crack them open and try to fix them at all. Then they politely informed me that since I had purchsed it 13 months prior, it was no longer covered under warranty, and it was worth 10% off a new one in the Ipod recycling program. The good news ( for me anyway) is that my wife got me a 30gb video Ipod for Xmas! Good luck with it.

When I put my 20G iPod in its cradle to synch, it doesn't.

That happens to me all the time. I either unplug and re-plug in the USB cable or quit and re-start iTunes and on the rare occasion I reboot the computer and it syncs. I don't usually have to reboot the iPod. The last thing would be to make sure your iPod has the latest update on it. I went for a few weeks where it wouldn't add a whole bunch of songs to my iPod because the software was out of date.

No sh*t Monster...Unfortunately for me, I am very inconsistent in buying extended warantees for electronics...Serves me right for not getting one this time.
