I have an LG 4500 cellphone and I don't have the user manual anymore. I chucked it out cuz I didn't think I'd need it, but, of course now I do.

Why does the phone keep going into [Driving Mode] and how the hell do I get it OUT of [Driving Mode]?

You can download the manual here.

"Everything is on the web."

Thanks. Tom, that did the trick. Took a few minutes, but I got my answer.

Soulful-can you save me the trouble of reading the manual and tell me what you did to make it stop doing this? This happens to me all the time, making me look like a complete idiot shouting "Driving" into my phone to make it stop (I'm never driving when I do that...)

I figured it's one of the side buttons that keeps getting hit when it's in my bag, but not sure.

I use to have the same problem. Until a 13 year old told me how to correct it. With the phone on, but shut, you have to press and hold the bottom button on the left side of the phone until it changes out of 'driving mode.' A way to help prevent this is to put the phone is a case.
