I am hoping someone has had this happen so I can figure out how to fix this iChat Av problem... My iChat AV (with iSight camera) has worked with little to no problems until about the middle of January. That is when I it stopped working and the error reads .... I didn't respond tot he chat invite when I did! Before, I would frequently chat with family in other states. I use a an iMac running the latest version of Tiger and they are all using Windows. I was able to use the camera and chat with someone using a Mac with no problems! I have searched the web and I found many sites discussing the opening of ports on the router. We have done that, been on the phone with Linksys and still nothing. I am not really sure what else could have happened. I noticed there was a systems update about 1/10 and I am wondering if there was something different in the update that could have changed something I am not aware of. I am trying to avoid calling Apple for help since my extended warranty ran out this past December. |

Be sure to have all recent updates before troubleshooting things like this. Fix permissions too. Then, if it's still a problem, you may find some help in this thread: http://www.macintouch.com/ichatav02.html |
