I am trying to connect my new wireless mouse and keyboard. I have put the software installation in, and the keyboard is working fine, but not the mouse. Any suggestions? |

Batteries in right? Is there some sort of synchronization required? |

I'm sure you already tried this, but there's typically a "connect" button on the mouse. Press that button (use the end of a paper clip or something) and hold it in for about 10 seconds.

What kind of mouse? Is it compatible with your computer? Did you have a prior mouse which you might have had to uninstall first? Did it come with installation instructions and if so did you follow them exactly? |

I did follow the installation instructions exactly. It is a wireless mouse with batteries, tried the conntection button, didn't work. I installed a new keyboard and mouse at the same time. No problems with the keyboard, just the mouse. |

on my wireless mouse (Microsoft) -- there is one button on the bottom of the mouse, one on the receiver -- need to push one/or both to get the mouse and receiver to talk to each other. |

Thanks Pete, I think I have done that, but I am a techno peasant! Is it the little button on the bottom of the mouse and which button on the receiver? There are three? |

The buttons on the mouse and the charger that one needs to press on my wireless mouse (logitech) are both labeled "connect". The one on the mouse is a little white button on the bottom of the mouse (close to the wrist postion when the mouse is in use) and the one on the charger is a large silver button (the only button I can see there). I don't know if your mouse is similar, thus my question as to what kind of wireless mouse you have. |
