Another question: how do I get a default error page? Kinda like this - http://www.maplewoodonline.com/forum/whoops |

Create (or edit) a file called .htaccess file on your server and include this line in it: ErrorDocument 404 /error.html where error.html is the name of your error document |

For some reason, I can't save the .htaccess file without it being hidden. It says the "." is reserved for system files. How do I save the file so I can see it and upload to my server. I've already created the error page. |

you may have to make the change to the file as it sits on the server, or do it on a pc. |

In your FTP app, there is probably a preference to allow you to see files that start with a period. |
