Is it possible to use features from Norton Systemworks (2004) with Norton Systemworks 2006? The newer one doesn't have the password manager feature. Thanks! |

Monster- Thanks for the link. I'm going to dedicate some time to this later. No, didn't try to install both yet. Didn't want to mess up all the hard work you've done. I have the CD's / keys for both the Norton's I have. One is 2004, the other 2006. Don't have 2005, just got the ugrade last year because 2005 didn't have some of the options I liked from 2004. Like the 2005 version, the 2006 doesn't have the password feature. Soda and Lib Thanks for the laugh. I sure needed one! |

Actually the 2006 CD has the Password Manager on it.
Quote:To install Norton Password Manager for the first time from the Norton SystemWorks 2006/2005 CD 1. Insert the Norton SystemWorks 2006/2005 CD into the CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive. 2. In the Norton SystemWorks CD window, click Browse CD. 3. Browse to the NPM folder on the CD. 4. Double-click Npmsetup.exe. 5. Review the installation information, and then click Next. 6. In the License Agreement panel, click I accept the License Agreement. The Setup window displays installation progress. 7. In the Activation window, type the activation key for Norton SystemWorks 2004 (Standard or Professional). If you do not have the activation key for Norton SystemWorks 2004 (Standard or Professional), then you cannot install Norton Password Manager. If you have the activation key for Norton SystemWorks 2004 (Standard or Professional), proceed with the remaining steps. 8. Read the Readme text, and then click Next. 9. Remove all disks from their drives (including the program CD). 10. Click Finish to complete the installation. You may have to restart the computer before you can use Norton Password Manager.
