TIVO was our dear friend until we got new cable in, without a cable box. Haven't been able to get it going since (almost a year now), and we miss it sorely. Anyone who can help us out (for a fee of course) with this?

What is the issue? What part are you having trouble with?

We don't have a cable box and so the regular cable doesn't seem to work. It sets up, but always stays on ESPN even though the blue Tivo screen indicates the channel is changing. (It's not a 3/4 channel issue.)

What are you using to change the channel on the cable-ready television? Usually, there is an ir changing the channel on the cable box. If you don't have the ir set up to change the channel directly on the television, it isn't actually changing the channel even though TiVo thinks it is.
