Is there any other kind of ink that can be used for a Dell printer? I just got off the phone with a fellow in India and ordered 2 black and one color...$98!!
I think I paid less than that about a year ago for 3 black and 2 color. Mr. Dell said yes, ink has gone up. I would be quite happy with something generic. Can I do that, or can I only buy from Dell?

Wow, that is a lot. I paid 72 or something like that at Costco for 2 color and 1 black for my hp printer. I believe that Lexmark makes the Dell printers, but it looks like the cartridges are proprietary, so you can't use the cheaper Lexmark cartridges. I hate when they do that. If you look around online, you'll find places to order refills, if you want to give that a try.

It's important when buying a printer to look beyond the inital purchase price.
They always get you with the ink.

Good luck!

They sell these printers at a loss and make up for and and much more with the ink.

Try buying from http://www.inkplustoner.com. The stuff seems good, and the prices are better. Beware of lowball prices. Some suppliers don't put much ink in their cartridges.

Thanks. I'll give that site a try the next time!
