I saw the longer version before. That wasn't a joke? That guy was really trying his lame scam?

For shame.

Case, I called Johnson, S at (562) 597-3836. He answered. I told him, "I heard I could make money over the internet" and he told me I had the wrong number. What gives? Why did you give me that number if I can't???

Dave, whom are you protecting by pulling down the original post?

Dave's protecting us Tom. This guy put a long how to make money over the internet scam in at least 4 different locations on MOL. Dave deleted it and then had fun with the I'm a loser stuff. Other posts are just gone.

And by the way, Dave, you don't have to answer. I'll bet that explaining your choices in moderating is even more thankless than doing the moderation.

I just looked up two people whose names and addresses were listed on the original post. One was up in Rome NY, and the other one is above.

I was more curious than anything else - who knows, maybe they're really not involved?

Well you would have thought that he would have told me how to make money on the internet. As much as I would like to skewer the guy who glommed MOL I am guessing that this guy is not related to the post. Maybe it was a hoax to have irrate people call this guys home? Not a bad way to get revenge come to think of it (note to self...).

A google search tells us that phone number is assigned to S Johnson but that the address is not in Signal Hill, CA or in that zip code.

if the account was deleted, I believe all the posts from that account are deleted as well. If you click on the username, you can send a PL.

Sure, if you like. I served as postmaster at a few previous jobs, so I'm fairly good at reading the innards of an email message.

I didn't know that Tom. I might take you up on that offer as soon as I can make a few moments at home to tackle my intrepid spammer problem.
