I don't know what happened; but I know it's not my computer. There seems to be a problem with Yahoo email. I'm expecting email from several people but I can't get into my Yahoo mail. It looks as if Yahoo has made some changes but forgot to tell us. I can't even get into the 'in' bx to see if the mail I'm expecting is there. If you are one of those people waiting for a response from me, sorry.

I thought I had the prpblem solved and was able to finally respond to an email late last night. But when I tried to go back into the mailbox to respond to the next email I couldn't get back in. Anyone else having problems with Yahoo Email?

My yahoo mail is fine. Has it been a long time since you've logged into the account (like long enough that they may have shut it down)?

Yahoo mail is fussy about how frequently you use it. The last time I tried to get into my Yahoo mail account, i received a message that my account had been deleted because it had been dormant for too long a period of time.

Just out of curiosity, did you check to make sure that your cap lock wasn't turned on when you you entered your ID/password? This will sometimes prevent access to certain programs where ID and/or password is/are case sensitive.

Also, are you using the correct password? My Mom called today almost in tears that she couldn't access her password protected financial program. 15 minutes on the phone checking caps lock, rebooting, all with no luck. I know her password so I asks her what she's keying in...... Her email password!

Mine is working fine today. I have experienced loss of email in the past in a Yahoo account that I didn't use frequently enough, but I think I was able to get back into it (albeit having lost the messages that were there before)

However (unrelated to Yahoo), I also lost an AIM account the same way and (major frustration), I can't set it up again with the same screenname, because they say that the screenname is already taken, but I can't use it any more because it expired. Anyone know if there is a way to resurrect an AIM account?

sac, are you sure? A friend of mine just used her AIM account last night for the first time in years, though I don't know how many years. Is it possible that you just don't remember the password?

SAC:

How are your parents? I hope you are having a good trip. I was able to set up my Yahoo account again with the same ID as before because no one else had requested it after my account was dropped by Yahoo. Is it possible that someone else may have requested your former ID after Yahoo canceled your account?

Actually it was AIM, not Yahoo, that wouldn't let me reestablish the same username. I was able to reinstate the Yahoo ID.

Parents are doing OK. I'm fighting a nasty headcold while trying to help them out, though. Hopefully the congestion will have eased before I have to get on a plane Tuesday to come home.

I can log in now; but can't get past the main page. When I can get to the page that lists new mail etc it looks freaky and I don't like it. This has only happened with my account associated with MOL. But even when I can get past that screen I can't respond to mail because two little boxes come up with the to and from windows.

Have you tried blocking pop-ups?
