I had sound on my laptop when I bought it (it's not new) and now I don't have sound. I checked the Sound part of the Display and looked at all the controls and nothing is muted. I also have the volume turned up but still silent. Is there anything that else that I should check out before I take it to a pro? Tks, Tabby |

try updating your driver first. Ive found 7 out of 10 times that will do the trick to fix a computer s.n.a.f.u. I use drivers.com they can take you through the process and find the right driver for you sound card. and its free |

You may also want to plug a set of headphones into the headphone jack. Also... most laptops have a way to physically mute the speakers (a 'mute button', as it were). If you want to send me a PL (just click on my name), I'd be happy to walk you through it over the phone. |
