Finally used iDVD to burn a DVD. 30 minutes of movie clips from iMovie took 2 hours from start of burn. My Panasonic DVD burner can do a 2 hour DVD in 40 minutes What gives Macheads. |

Perhaps it's the fact that it needs to encode the video/audio before it burns it, try encoding to an image then burning and check the time it takes just for the burn. The iMac can make a difference too, is it an older one, newer one, what OS is installed, how many if any effects/transitions are you using, what's the speed of the DVD burner, the disks...? May find some helpful info here, http://www.kentidwell.com/idvd4/ http://discussions.apple.com/category.jspa?categoryID=128

On a related topic...I'm looking for someone cheap and close by to make a few dupes of a DVD I've got, and I'd like them to be able to laser screen a label onto the disc...rather than use an adhesive one. Anyone got a recommendation? |

the dupes are easy, but the label, perhaps someone has a lightscribe DVD recorder out there. I've thought of getting one, just haven't gotten around to it yet. |
