OK, how come sometimes (lately, alot) when I try to print out a page on a website, I don't get the whole page - I miss about 1/10 of the page on the right hand side. Anyone know how to work this so it's not all cut off?? thanks |

Your margins aren't lined up ...or you may want to adjust the "scaling" or "scale" in the print preview/page setup. Try bringing it down 5 or 10% at a time and printing...until you get the size you want. Also...check to see if there is a box to resize the webpage to fit in the selected paper size. |

Sorry, daylaborer - I thought you were being mean! (I guess I interpreted Yeah. Why? As in Yeah- I know ... why do you want to know, rather than, Yeah, I have that same problem! Glock - thanks for the suggestion, though I'm not sure I really understand what you're saying... I'll try again! |

Well under page setup and/or print preview is a box called "scaling" and/ or "scale". It is usually set to 100%. Try bringing it down to 90% and then printing. Bring it down another 5 or 10% if that doesn't work, until the whole page fits on the paper. |

IE is notoriuos for that problem. It has to do with the web designer not defining print layout options. Use Mozilla or Firefox and they will do it right for you. |

The problem is with the web page design, not with your printer. Not all web pages are designed to print fully when you try to print them (at least not in IE). The most notorious are those with text boxes to the left of the material you really need. Some pages, where it is expected that the viewer will want to print the screen, will offer a printable version of the web page. Look for the option before you print what you see on the screen. You can also try saving the screen(s) to disk (avoiding the whole printer problem or at least postponing it), publishing the material to pdf (if available), or doing a cut and paste into a new document and then trying to edit it from there. |

Another option, though less than ideal, is to print in landscape. Glock, IE does not have scaling in page setup, or anywhere else where you can set it for printing. |
