Hi. I would like to export my iMovie to a format that my dad--who is on a PC and refuses to download Quicktime--can watch. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks. |

Export to iDVD, and then create a DVD file he can view. That format can be viewed by lots of players, not just QT-based ones. |

and then tell your dad that he has no reason to be afraid of Quicktime, after all, it's not a Microsoft product. |

Which version of iMovie are you using? In iMovieHD, you have lots of export options. Just select export from the file pulldown menu, then select advanced or expert settings. You can choose to export as .avi or as divx .avi, both should be compatable with PC's. And, what Monster said, your Dad shouldn't be afraid of Quicktime. |

I have iMovie 3. There is an option to export to .avi, but for some reason it isn't playing on my dad's pc. I don't know what his problem is with quicktime. He says when he downloads it it "messes everything up".
