The screen on my laptop no longer gets brighter when plugged into the AC adapter. What's wrong? How to fix it? |

Everything in power options seems ok, and actually in the last hour the screen seems to be getting dimmer and dimmer. |

I would say the same thing as Glock. Silly question - since it's getting dimmer and dimmer...Are you sure that outlet is working? |

Problem solved - I actually looked at the online manual. The function F7 and F8 keys control the brightness of the screen. Guess it helps to read the manuals!!! |

Is it a powerbook? Because they respond to ambient light and adjust the screen accordingly. You can shut that off in the display options. |
