Help! I have a 3 page document that was scanned. I need it in text so that I can do some minor editing (change the name on a Power of Attorney so that it can be re-witnessed). I've done the paper capture thing, but when I try to block & delete certain words, it won't do it. I don't want to retype this blasted thing. Getting it from the original source is out. |

You can copy and paste the text into Word. You'll have to clean it up. |

In Adobe reader, there is a way to select text. It may depend on the version, but look for a "Select" or "Text" or "T" button to get a text cursor and then you can select and copy the text with your mouse. |

No - I am wrong. You need software to scan it in and convert it. If it's personal, email it to me and I can get it back to you this afternoon. (I'll type it up) |

Is it your document, can it be scanned again, if so try this, http://www.simpleocr.com/ install it and re-scan, unless your scanner came with it's own OCR software, as some do now days. Image to PDF OCR Converter, has a trial version. there is even OCR for digital cameras, http://www.topocr.com/ ABBYY Finereader may have a trial version |
