I need to compare original and edited versions of a manuscript (Word documents) and mark the differences between the two--basically create a red-lined version of the original. I'd hate to have to do this manually. Is there a program that will do it for me?

Word has a function that will do this: tools/track changes/compare documents.

Thanks, ril. I'm trying it now.
