I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop. AC connection has been loose for a long time and now I can't get sny connection. My research indicates that the AC connection probably has to be soldered onto the motherboard. Any takers, and how much?

This is a common problem with Toshiba laptops, they may have an extended repair policy for this problem, how old and what model is it?
If you bought it using a credit card, check with the card company to see if you get an automatic extended warranty through them.

If neither option above is available feel free to private line me about repairs.
