Hey! Some of us kids involved with the Future Business Leaders Of America and the student council are starting a school store at CHS. Our goal is to provide students with everyday school supplies and school spirit items at very affordable costs. It has been a year since our initial proposal and a lot of red tape, but it finally looks like its going to happen. HERE'S WHERE YOU CAN HELP!! Since the store is going to be a major student run operation we have purchased some inexpensive but quality retail POS (cash register) Software for security and inventory purposes. We got an old computer donated but it doesn’t meet the min. system requirements for the software. It is an old Emachine 633IDS? with 64Mb Ram. Does anyone have some old ram that they could donate (that’s more then 64MB) or an older, working, Windows based PC that is at least Windows 98, 500Mhz, 128mb Ram, 8 Gig hard drive. Or would someone be willing to upgrade our Emachine? ANYTHING THAT YOU CAN DONATE WILL BE GREATLY APPRECATED.

teendj- this sounds like a good project. While I do not have anything to donate at this time, you may want to post this in the Please Help section, as I think more posters/readers look there than Tech Support. |

We've got some laptops and other old stuff that might fit the bill -- my husband is a computer guy and can talk specs etc. with you. Contact Tom Weinberger, tweinberger@comcast.net, and tell him Deborah sent you! |
