I guess I goofed somewhere. I really do not want my whole name (first and last ) to be displayed when I post and that's what happened when I posted under the"Please Help" discussion board, subject : roof. I thought my username would have been displayed. What do I do in the future? |

This line should have been in the e-mail you received when you signed up:
"If you don't want your Real Name field to appear as it is, change it in Edit Profile before posting." |

In plain English: Your user name always appears in black to the left of your post but you can choose whatever name you want to have displayed in blue. It is the name in blue which is displayed on the main menu screen of the discussion board and the name in blue which other MOL posters will address you by on line once they get to know you.
As Dave said, all you need to do is click on the words "Edit profile", which appear in the upper right hand corner of this screen and follow the instructions.
If you are still confused, post additional questions here and a more experienced poster will try and walk you through it. |
