Just discovered a large patch of what I think is poison ivy growing next to my front steps. Anybody have experience killing/removing this stuff? |

There's a spray you can get, which will stop it and turn it brown, though it will still be poisonous even when dead. After it's browned, use garden gloves to bag it, then toss the gloves in when you're done and dispose. (never burn it, by the way). |

Are we talking regular "Roundup", or a specific product for poison Ivy? |

This seems to be stretching the notion of "tech support" a bit far. Are you looking to Dave to solve your weed problems? |

I think it was Roundup that I used last summer (after my fun trip to the emergency room to get a cortizone shot). Kill it with glee! This sort of falls under tech support |

Dave: I's killin, Miss Daisy! Kathy: I'm only interested in eradicating a noxious weed. Dave's the culprit on the "Tech Support" heading thingie. BTW: (Perhaps this should appear under "S.O. Supports Preservation") Good luck with the Old Stone House project. I'm sure that lots of newbie S.O. residents/Quarryphobes/Openspace-or-busters will immediately kneejerk into thinking that unless it creates a rateable or new parkspace, it's a waste of municpal moneys. Well, I say go for it, and make it a part of "S.O.:The Movie" too, while you're at it. BOOO-YA! |

Soda: Maybe if you told Dave that you had left your lap top open on your front steps for just a few minutes and when you got back poison ivy like stuff was growing between the keys on your key board, he would treat your inquiry more seriously. |
