I give up! I keep telling my sister she needs to take her hard drive somewhere to have it 'cleaned up!' I know there are people on MOL who do this. Should I just pay Circut City the $60 to do this? Or is there someone here willing to come to our house and fix her piece of junk. I mean computer!!! |

Not sure what you mean by "cleaned up." Are you talking about spyware/adware infestation, fragmentation, proliferation of unnecessary files, incomplete installations of software, hard drive simply too full, etc, etc, perhaps all of the above?

Wow I wish I knew. The hard drive can't be full. It seems like something's going wrong with symantics (sp) because it keeps scanning things that aren't there then locking up the computer. I yanked the ISP cable to keep it offline. Ran Norton but it's still mesed up. It's also v-e-r-y s-l-o-w. I just downloaded adaware and spotbot to a cd from my computer to try to use on hers tomorrow. I dont know why she thinks **I** know what I'm doing because I don't. But my computer doesn't have the problems hers does. |
