My current website - www.composerjohn.com - needs a makeover! I built the site a few years ago and it looks old and clunky. Can anyone suggest some names to contact for help/redesign?? |

Our website www.coreebusiness.com was designed by www.HudsonHorizons.com The great part about it is that the whole site is Dynamic and we can change the content on a daily basis, very quickly. Stops us from having to go back to them for changes. |

The current mininalism of the design doesn't reflect your music. If you can wait a bit I'd be happy to share some ideas, as I'm in the midst of a few rush projects. |

Thanks Dave. I would love to get some of your ideas. Would you be available to help design? The current site contains somewhat old sound samples. My concert music has become more minimalistic and less academic. Also, the site doesn't even mention my film/tv music stuff (which is also more minamalistic in nature). I want the site to look cool. Here are three samples of composer sites I like: http://www.edwardbilous.com/ http://www.dancoleman.com (this site is a little cluttered, but I like the style) http://www.dream-artists.com (the flash site is still under construction, but I like the html side too. Notice my name under the talent section ) Thanks for your help. Additional suggestions of names would be great. I am looking to redo the page within the next month or so. |

Hey John, Just wanted to say that I just visited your site and I liked the little bit that I heard. Give me a jingle if you ever decide that you need a performance of your percussion quartet locally. Both my son and I would be interested in playing. Also, if you are interested in good classical music discussion, join the forum over at http://www.good-music-guide.com/forum Marc @ MillburnWeb.com

Marc - I am always looking for performances. I would be happy to mail (or drop off) a score and CD of my percussion quartet. |

Feel free to drop a cd and score off in the mail. I will PL you my address. Sometimes, a composer will gather a bunch of local musicians to perform a little concert/showcase of that composer's works. Modern classical music is always a hard sell, but in a community like Maplewood, I think you would have a decent turnout if a local composer were to put on a showcase at a church or coffeeshop or art gallery. I see that you have a number of chamber pieces, so it would probably be easy to get instrumentalists to rehease and perform your pieces. The only problem would be getting a grand piano for some of the pieces... perhaps you can arrange something at a local church that has a good-quality piano. Perhaps the Burgdorf Center? That seems to be a perfect space. marc |

I had excluded places like Heres2TheArts and NetNomads because of the requirement of a grand piano. I am suire that John would not want his piano pieces played on an upright. Marc @ MillburnWeb.com |
