I have an old IBM Thinkpad 600E which needs a new system board. I would like to have it repaired, but I'm not sure how much it would cost or who locally could do the work. Any ideas?

I'm not sure about prices for this, but I would imagine that it would be pretty costly. Most of the time when either the system board or the screen goes on a laptop it is cheaper to just get a new one.

I know Compusa does repairs, but I believe they have a fee just for looking at the computer. The computer store on South Orange Ave may fix them. However, I have found that they are pretty expensive.
