And most of us don't. But your warning is a good one.

I worked with an artist who preferred CRT's to LCD's because CRT's produce truer colors.

But LCD's now have lots of advantages for us less-demanding users.

Actually, Apple's line of Cinema displays working hand in hand with ColorSync produces perfect color matching.

Has anyone every dealt with Tiger Direct? I never heard of them.

I have had a few good dealings with J&R in New York. http://www.jr.com Good prices and service. Knowledgeable people.

I have been dealing with them for the past few years. I build my own PC's and find their prices and service to be quite good. I usually save enough on the product to justify the shipping costs, but it's like going to the computer shows, you need to know what you want. I also deal with PCConnection.com. where I recently bought an Acer notebook, wireless ready, for $700, which was the best deal I could find after a year long search.
