Hi Deb, I was on Jeopardy many years ago. Unless things have changed drasically, they are looking for people with a wealth of info who are bright and personable. The test consisted of 75 $800 and $1000 questions (answers?) quickly displayed on tv monitors. You had to write the answers, not in the form of a questions. While they graded them, Alex came out to talk to us.Of the 750 people who took the test, about 35 of us passed. Then we pretended, in groups of three, to play the game. We were interviewed and then had to answer the slides orally. They dismissed about 20 of the people who had passed the written test at that point. The told the rest of us that they might call, but if we didn't hear from them by Jan, try again next yesr (It was the end of May). Things might of changed but women seemed to have the edge in the second part. I studied everything I could get my hands on, almanacs, encyclopedias, trivia cards, etc. It was a great experience. PL me if you want more info and GOOD LUCK!! |
