I've been trying to do an "And" search for the words "intelligent" and "design" and I get this:
quote:Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@www.southorangevillage.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error. More information about this error may be available in the server error log. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Apache/1.3.27 Server at www.southorangevillage.com Port 80
fwiw, I was searching for the words "intelligent" and "design" to see if there has been discussion on this & evolution in the past little while. |

Yeah, I've been running into that problem lately, too when doing either a search on last posts seen by me or even last posts in the past "n" hours. It's intermittent, not consistent. |

Jamie and Dave, maybe you could replace the search function with a packaged google search. I know google offers search software to add onto an existing web site. I don't know if that would work with discus (the messageboard software here). |

Also, it would be nice if you could avoid updating the "last search" cookie until after a search is successfully completed. I have found that I sometimes get the above error message and sometimes just get a blank screen when there are too many hits, but before that happens, my "last search" time/date has already been updated, so I can't retry the same search again. |

Cool ... it does work, although not seeing stuff in the thread context will require some getting used to. I will definitely use this ... thanks ... |
