Dave has the ultimate power of being able to end selected threads by physically removing the posting box from the end of the thread, thereby making it impossible for anyone to say anything further. There is really no art involved in such an action, though it may be necessary to end threads in this way from time to time.
A thread killer post is one that is so good or so bad that absolutely no one reading the thread is inclined to say anything further on the subject. The ability to compose such posts on a regular basis is to have mastered one of the truly illusive skills of posting. |
