I don't really understand your question. You want to hook up your ipod to your computer, right? Have you done this in any way yet? What kind of computer do you have?
I know ipods come with usb, and I'm not sure about firewire. But the cable that comes with it should hook right up to your computer. |

Jeff, I believe you are looking for a fire wire add on card, that has fire wire ports. CompUSA has one from Adaptec on sale pretty frequently.
Besides of that, they should all work, regardless of the brand. However, if you will ever need support in the future, Adaptec is a solid company that will be around for a while, contrary to some other no name brands that you can sometimes get for a few bucks less. |

Does your computer lack a USB port? If so I'd get a USB add on card before I got a firewire. Works with way more things. |
