OK, get this, my PC now seems to be a vampire.

It crashes constantly during weekday afternoons (while browsing on comcast, Explorer stops dead, followed by the machine), but never in the evenings.

I suspect comcast. Anyone else have this?

Check your task scheduler. Is defrag or scan disk running in the background?

No, but "PCHealth" was running every 6 hours. Sounds like a good one to kill. Thanks for the tip. Still doesn't sound like the cause, though.

Could the problem be RAM related?

Are the web sites you are browsing prior to the crash rich in graphics or sound files?

What percentage of your system resources are you using when this happens?
