This might have been asked before, but... Why is it that the new posts on the Free Classified section post on top when all the other threads have the new posts on the bottom? It's a pain to scroll down and read them. Maybe all the threads can be formatted to have the newest additions at the beginning instead of the end. |

I guess I'll disagree. The thread posts should be read in order (that is, top to bottom). If anyone hasn't looked at the message board for a few hours, or a day, or a weekend, or even (unlikely though it may be!) for a whole week, it would be difficult to read a series of posts if the latest ones were at the top. For myself, I find that the 'End' key gets me right down to the latest message in a thread. |

I agree with Nohero. I want to be able to read a thread from the first comment to the last. As far as classifieds are concerned, they're discreet units so it makes sense to put the most recent one first. |

If you use the New Messages utility you don't have to do alot of scrolling down (unless, of course, you haven't checked New Messages in a long time). I'm with Nohero and Wendy in not wanting the latest post to be at the top of the stack. |

Dave has addressed this from time to time. It is a configuration option that he sets, I believe, and I think it is done this way for the reasons mentioned. As Jem says, once you get used to using New Messages, you won't have a problem with the order. Another advantage of the current order is that if you want to post, you are right there at the end of the thread rather than having to page down to the posting window. |

Yes, that is correct, S. I think the current format is easiest for most people who don't keep up with the board on a regular basis. Reading top to bottom is more natural than bottom up. |
