2. Once the command line prompt appears, type the following:

mount -uw /
cd /private/var/db/netinfo
mv local.nidb local.old
rm ../.AppleSetupDone
exit

When you hit RETURN after typing exit, Mac OS X will restart and the setup assistant will launch automatically.

Holding "x" on boot starts you in OS X.

Holding "option" on boot lets you choose a startup disk on an OS X-compatible system.

Holding "shift" on boot in OS 9 disables extensions, but in OS X it disables some kernel extensions and login items.

Command-option-eject will put the computer to sleep.

Control-command-option-eject will shut down the computer quickly.

Command-tab switches applications. Boy, is this handy! You can set the order by changing the organization of items in your dock.

Command-option while dragging a file will bypass file type checking and force the application to attempt to open the file regardless.

You can command-drag Menu Extras in OS X to change their order.
