Why oh why can't we buy a female-female ethernet cord connector to connect two cords? It seems technology has come so far and this should have already become a possibility realized... Also, when are we going to develop a little fix-thingy that would slide over the end of your cord so that one could still use the cable that you paid good money for, even after that little pressure clip breaks off? Why aren't the ends made of more flexible rubber? Connections could still be made! What do you recommend for someone who'd rather not pay to replace a new cord after stepping on the one she JUST bought?

SW, go to Home Depot and get acrimping tool and a box of cable ends. You can snip off the old clip and crimp on a new one. Buy some bulk cable and you can make your own patch cables. |

You need a female-female coupler for both jobs. |

Or just go to the store and buy a much longer ethernet cable. They come in huge lengths if you need them. Or go to a computer store and tell them the EXACT size you need and they will make it for you. This might cost more than buying a box of cable and a crimper, but it certainly is easier. |
