My PC needs service. Any recommendations? It boots up, but the display on the screen is a jumble.

Does Dell have stores? The PC is 7 years old. I think I'd like to get a new Dell, but transfer data on 3 directories to the new computer. Is this done? Will Dell do this?

Ily,

Dell doesn't have stores, and they won't transfer your data either. However, once you get a new computer, it is really easy to attach your old drive, and copy the files. In order to do that you can either attach the drive internally, or better yet buy a cheap external USB enclosure and plug it in without having to open your computer.

PL me if you need help doing this.

You can either

If you like, I can take your old computer apart and temporarily attach the hard drive to your new PC for you. It'll take about 15 minutes, let me know.

Thanks everybody for the tips and input. I think I'm going to replace the PC and use the old hard drive as a slave in an external USB enclosure.
