It boots up, but the display on the screen is a jumble. Does Dell have stores? The PC is 7 years old. I think I'd like to get a new Dell, but transfer data on 3 directories to the new computer. Is this done? However, once you get a new computer, it is really easy to attach your old drive, and copy the files. In order to do that you can either attach the drive internally, or better yet buy a cheap external USB enclosure and plug it in without having to open your computer.
