Looking for a font called "Digital" (looks like the numbers on the readout of a digital clock) for a project I'm doing. Will probably only use it this one time, and the on-line resources I've found want $42 to download. Not worth it for me. Anybody know where I might find it--if not for free--then at least for considerably less money? |

I don't have it, but this one may come close (and costs a little less). http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/pizzadude/digital-dream-2003/

Assuming you are looking for a price in the $0 range, http://www.1001freefonts.com/fonts/dfonts3.htm or http://desktoppub.about.com/library/fonts/dd/uc_digitalreadout.htm And a personal favorite, http://www.goodfonts.org, has 300 free fonts, but I'm not sure if the one you want is there.

TomD is right. There is no reason you should have to pay for that font. It's such a popular style that there are VERY MANY free font repositories that will have the style for you. On the other hand, if you have money to spend, please do support the font developers. No one thinks twice about stealing fonts. It's like unnoticed software piracy. |

Thanks Dave. Great resource and definately less expensive. Really, I'm just trying to make a chart for my kid to help with his before school morning routine. I want these numbers because they will look like the numbers on his digital alarm clock, but will probably only use them this once! I might pay $5 for one use, but not $21.50. Guess I'll keep looking, or just figure out another way to do it. |

This site has THOUSANDS of free fonts. With in a few seconds I found LED Real. It is one of very many digital-esque fonts. Take a few minutes and browse through the free sections (all of the different pages of all of the different letters) and I am SURE you will find other similar fonts. http://www.1001freefonts.com/winfonts/ledreal.zip also http://www.1001freefonts.com/winfonts/digitaldream.zip and http://www.1001freefonts.com/winfonts/digitalreadout.zip I liked this one too but it might not be what your needing http://www.1001freefonts.com/winfonts/digitek.zip All of these are free and there are mac versions if you want them. There are more, if your willing to search for them. |
