Does anybody have any PC100 memory just lying around that you don't need anymore. I am attempting to buid a computer for a friend, and right now I have Windows XP running on a AMD 6K-2 350Mhz with 64 Mb of Ram. I tried to find more ram today and the cheapest I found was for about $25 for 128. But I figured I would check out and see if anybody was in the process of maybe throwing out an old computer that may contain PC100 Ram.

One man's trash is anothers gold.

I have a 512 MB dimm, but I can never keep track of the various types. Please email me at noglider@pobox.com or look me up in http://www.anywho.com and call me at home. I'm in Maplewood.

Tom, I appreciate the response but I checked the motherboard manual, and the board will not support anything over 256. there are three slots, and it maxes out at 3/4 of a gig.

I actually found some decent prices at www.isellsurplus.com.

what about pc133, it should take that, and you may find it cheaper.
Try going to Maplewood's recycling center tomorrow and see what may be in a couple of tossed 'puters, I've found memory there before.
If I find anything at home (if I remember), I may just bring it with me tomorrow night.
