Can anyone recommend some file sharing software (peer to peer)? I've been using WINMX but they closed down along with edonkey because of pressure from the RIAA.

What kinds of files do you want to share? Do you primarily want to get files or give them? With whom do you want to share, i.e. where are these people?

You could try Kaaza, but get ready for some serious spy and adware issues.

Limewire is another P2P application, probably another huge source of spyware and adware though.
I agree with Network & PC Care.. spend the .99 cents at the iTunes music store. Don't risk getting caught downloading music illegally.

Imesh (www.imesh.com) is good, but I suspect they are going the way of the RIAA Bitches soon.

Adware and spyware is a real concern unless you buy 'pro' versions of this software.

PS - the risk in music sharing is not so much the downloading, but the uploading (i.e. making music available for upload).

PPS - consider looking at Usenet (newsgroups, NNTP). There is phenomenal free and paid services available in this manner!
