Looking to buy some memory for my PDA. Best deal on Compusa.com is for a brand called PNY. Anybody know anything about them? They're a lot cheaper than SanDisk, but I know the SanDisk name. Their website says they're great. Should I believe it? |

Last Christmas, I bought my daughter a 1GB SD card for her camera, made by PNY. Got it from J&R, and after rebate, it cost me only $50. Such a deal. It has worked flawlessly. I haven't benchmarked it for speed. I believe some cards are faster than others and that this speed can translate to the time between shots you take, at least in some cameras. Is this computer memory or flash memory like my daughter's?

Flash memory card for a PDA, sounds like the one you've got. It's $59 on compusa.com so I'll look elsewhere for cheaper. I'm researching the transfer speed on their website as we speak. Or post. |

Bill, you might check out www.pricewatch.com they list may different places on the web and their prices. I have never had a problem with anyhting I have ordered through them. As for PNY they sell a bunch of different kinds of memory stuff. I have bought memory for desktops many times that was PNY and have never had a problem. But just like Tom I don't know how they match up in benchmark tests against other companies. |
