You may want to wait until after Christmas if at all possible. There are reports floating around in XBox chat rooms that the new models have some bugs that need to be worked out. Last thing you want to do is spend all that money and have the thing crap out on you Christmas morning. We're waiting until after Christmas. http://www.afterdawn.com/news/archive/7052.cfm Don't let people poo-poo gaming consoles - its like everything else, moderation is the key. My son and I have a blast playing games and yes sometimes he plays for hours at a time but he's not addicted and to be honest he loves to solve the puzzles that are part of most of the kid games. You can make your own judgement based on the age of your child(ren) about what games are appropriate. My son is allowed to play Halo 2 which I think is kind of mild as far as violence goes and we tend to stay away from the ultra violent games. Unless of course the XBox is for you. |
