How do I get this Winfixer crap - pop up or whatever it is off my computer. It's driving me nuts!

First things first, run Spybot and Ad-Aware. If that doesn't work, let us know.

Upon further review (thanks again, google) it seems that this is one of those nasty 'persistent' malware programs - you'll need this:

I used Ad-aware first, that hasnt worked, but the program found a lot of other stuff and cleaned that. I tried spy-bot next and it said the computer was clean, but it the winfixer was still there.
I will go to the next step you recommend.

Winfixer probably won't be removed by an 'automatic' program, so the link I sent you will walk you through the removal process.

I hope his silence doesn't mean that the registry is wiped out....
