Thanks SOLady! Mr. Mayor. I had breakfast sausage on a bagel. But, I still love God. What does that mean? I think the Pope said it was cool. Did you hear the Pope has an ipod? The NYpost called him the iPope. Haw. |

You only get dispensation to eat meat if St. Patrick's Day falls on a Friday... and then you can only eat corned beef. My very Irish Catholic father-in-law figured that the only reason the whole no meat on Fridays began was because the fish industry in Italy needed a boost. Our one-time baby sitter and his brothers used to fight over who would work in OLS's rectory on Fridays during Lent - they got to eat whatever the priests were eating - lobster, shrimp, etc. |

Ah, yes, sailing... I remember when my papa would take me on trips, and we would take the yacht across the Alantic and go down the congo to do some hunting. Those were grand times. |

Due to some complicated family math, didn't get to see Grandma this weekend. Maw Buzz says that she thinks next weekend would be better. Seems she could come around. Well. Kinda. She's old and tired.
Was able to sleep w/ windows open. A good sign. |

Mem: That's one of the nicest things anyone has said about me. Though, my oldest son just called me "Mr. Now" - I took that to be a compliment too. Pippi: It was good to see you too. Though, I always want to call you Pippi and not your Earthly name. I have to be honest here. That train ride really really sucked. I would have rather walked this morning. On my hands. On hot coals. With vice grips on each toe of each foot. I'm just saying..... Grandma is not going to get better. Though, she's on the path to enlightment. She has wanted out for years. That's the way it goes - it's selfish to want her to hang around. Like Jonny Cash said, "We'll meet again someday. I don't know where. I don't know when". She is really a symbol of my youth and my younger less complicated years. She made a small dude feel really important. My Mom does the same to my kids. It all goes around in circles. I suppose there is a reason for the phrase "don't look back". I always do. You have to know where you were to get where you want to go. I suppose. In the end. I just want to go back here:

Buzz - Feel free to call me Pippi when we meet again, if the urge grabs you. In fact, if the truth be told, I was pretty impressed to hear my earthly name come out of your mouth when you introduced me to your friends -- considering you probably only heard it about 2 times. That's a great quality. I hear what you are saying about your grandma. That's a pretty strong, special bond you have. Sounds like she deserves enlightment. I hope it comes easily and with peace. Peace out |

Buzz, my Grandmother, well at least my Mom's mother, felt the same way as your Grandmother, I'm ready, why can't I go. Grandmom was in a nursing home for years (and I hadn't seen her in years), besides just being old, she also suffered from Alzheimers, which may have been a blessing seeing as to how a couple of her daughters wouldn't have anything to do with her, the amazing thing was that the brother whom everyone thought of as a bastard was the one that visited her often and took care of her, (of course he did live in the vicinity). Anyway, since I had left Texas I hadn't seen her in years, Mrs. Monster and I had recently had Monster Daughter and we decided to go for a visit, it was the best thing, Grandmom didn't recognize me at first, but later she knew who I was and just adored Monster Wife & Monster Daughter, and was so happy to see them. She told me that she was in so much pain, and mental anguish (when she was lucid) over not being able to remember things, how that she just didn't understand why she couldn't pass away already, I couldn't understand it either. She always did and always will hold a special place in my heart, she was great, and I have a lot of memories of visiting her over our annual summer vacation to Texas, and how special she always made me feel. Dangit, I need to go blow my nose and wipe these tears away. I hope Grandma Buzz isn't suffering, and finds the place she seeks when it is time. Jerry |

^ This is my Great Great Great Grandfather. He saved his money and sent his sons to America. They worked as bricklayers here in the area and saved their money to bring their parents here to America. My Great Great Grandfather said this about his modern times. "we used to crap outside and cook our food inside. now we crap inside and cook outside." I suppose outside BBQing was all the rage in the early 1900's. It is a funny thing to observe.
^ this is my twin brother, father o'buzz. The youth of NJ was out in force this morning on the PATH train chugging Jack Daniels at 8.30 am. I feel sorry for their shoes. |

Lucy, without the French there would be no French fries, no French toast, and wine would never be the same. |
