For some reason, I am unable to post to the earlier blog I started on the Memorial Day Parade since the Preview/Post message button does not appear on my screen when I scroll to the bottom of the last message on the original parade blog. Therefore, I am replying to Joy's offer in a separate blog which has been labeled part 2. Dave/Jamie: If you can, could you please merge this with the original parade blog. Thanks. Joy: Thank you so much for the offer. Here is the text of the handout a friend of Bernie's prepared. As you can see it is very basic but all the facts are there. Memorial Day Celebration Invitation Maplewood Memorial VFW Post 10120 invites you to celebrate Memorial Day 2006 by attending the Maplewood Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony on May 29, 2006. The parade assembles at 8:15 AM at the Columbia High School Student Parking Lot on West Parker Avenue in Maplewood and starts at 9:00 AM. The parade route will be: West Parker Avenue to Maplewood Avenue Maplewood Avenue to Baker Street Baker Street to Valley Street Valley Street to Town Hall Immediately after the parade, there will be a short ceremony in front of Town Hall. If it is raining heavily, the parade will not be held but a memorial ceremony will take place at 9:30 AM inside Town Hall. | ||
