 so many friggin people. many of them swigging gallons of soft drinks and eating ice cream....which are both sticky. and do they EVER have the science and mathmatics of kid stimulation down.... so many lines..... oh, and a taxi driver said that it was much more crowded in June....in the heat.....WOW......... That place is a trip. and, of course...in the end it's worth it to see the look on the wee one's face when they are so amazed. nothing like it. | ||

 ORANGE! ORANGE! ORANGE! So, yeah - I was away for a week visiting Disneyland. They have a stranglehold on the term "magic" and "happy". Everything has one of those two terms applied to them. "have a magic time in the bathroom" "I am happy drinking this large sized soft drink". As always being away from work/commute made me a bit on edge last night. I slept like a spastic metronome on fire. Dreaming that I was packing my stuff up from my four years of college and not being able to fit everything in my car. Then not finding my car. Then wondering why I was back in college when I have two kids. Wha? ORANGE! ORANGE! ORANGE! As I looked at a red brick chuch today I wondered where Brick Church station got it's name.  | ||

And with this weather comes thoughts of calling in to work sick, leaving the office early while keeping my computer monitor on, wanting to take road trips and vegatable gardens. I have about a five year waiting period before I get something that everone thinks is great. Case in point, the Shins. A lot of people I know LOVE them and have been in to them for a while. I liked them, but didn't really sink my teeth into them. I recently purchaced "oh, inverted world" which has been out for about five years. This album has changes my ears. I love the shimmery summery sounds. I feel like they could bring about a new summer of love. That happened five years ago. I wonder how it was? Five years or fifteen years, I will never understand reality TV....things like the real world and american idol. In that way, I am an geezer (not from the UK).  | ||

I have been feeling a bit off. For some reason I read the transcript that is all over the news from one of the four planes that terrorists hijacked on September 11th - flight 93. It has been in the press a lot, with that nut on trial. Not sure why I read it. Knew I didn't want to. But I did. Made me so angry. So sick and dizzy weak in the knees. Put me back a few spaces, in terms of reaching "go" in the world of trying to live a normal life after that day. I saw too much but my most vivid memory is the screen door slamming shut when I got home after sprinting home from the South Orange train station.  | ||
