Is anybody out there? Can I ask you a favor? I know you're a busy person! But I could use some feedback. Can you take a second to tell me about a picture from this little ol' blog that you like? It would be a big help. I would like to hang four pictures up for a show this summer & I really don't know where to start. Just give me a discription or repost the photo from the archives up top. (I didn't take any of the news/celeb/archive stuff. I "borrowed" them from the internets)

Here are some of my favorites. There are a few more I like, but I tried to narrow it down for you. Sorry, there are more than 4, but it took me a while to narrow it down this far. I just didn't know what else to cut from my list. I might actually go back and put some more of the ones I cut back into the mix here for you. I'm no help.

Wait! The barns posted above, too. Love those! I'm sure you can cajole the curator to allow 15-20 photos, right? You'll let us know all the gory details once the deal is cemented, me hopes. |

Thanks my friends! Yer so kind. I am hoping to hang a few of my unphotos this summer somewhere. I forgot that I love photography. It's a mirror or projection of one's mind/soul ~ so says my photo teacher of yesteryear. Not sure what that says about my insides. True story: In the summer of 1816, while visiting the poet Lord Byron at his villa near Lake Geneva in Switzerland, Mary Shelley created the character of the Frankenstein monster. During this visit, stormy weather forced the party to spend most of their time indoors. To pass the time, some of Byron's other guests read from a volume of ghost stories. One evening, Byron issued a challenge -- that each of his guests should write a ghost story of their own. Mary's story, which was inspired by a dream, eventually became her most famous literary work -- the novel Frankenstein. WAIT WAIT WAIT not that true story, this one: I was on my way home from a late dentist appointment, and my teeth were in big pain, so I thought I'd stop somewhere for one quick drink. I have always wanted to check out Here's to the Arts - so I did. I talked to Art. He let me play the piano (my first public performance since Hoboken 1997) and also said that I could hang some pictures up there this summer. So. Hey. When I do that I'll let ya'll know. Is it 5pm yet? I'd like to go home now. I owe you all a beer (between 4-5 at Bunny's)

I'd like to bring to your attention one more amazing teeth shattering heart skipping foot stomping toe breaking knuckle stretching lip biting value from itunes = mannish boy by muddy waters from the album 'hard again'. This album was a 'comeback' thing spearheaded by one of the winter brothers (I think johnny). Mannish boy was a single on chess records back in the 50's. I have a copy of that. But the version on this record blows the dust out of your speakers. Was put out in 197something. I guess it needed to age some. The whole album is a classic. But from the 99c value menu this song is a must eat.

^ you know, he says in that song "I can make love to a woman, in five minutes time" Is that good? that lyric seems out of place. Maybe he means he can pick up a lady in 5 minutes? I dunno.

Like anything, SOMETHING out of context can mean MANY things.... Here are the lines I was talking about: "All you little girls, sittin'out at that line I can make love to you woman, in five minutes time" OK. So. He only has five minutes due to the fact that there seems to be a line outside his bedroom. Oh. Sorry Muddy. I didn't mean to drag you through the mud of premature ejaculation. Though you'd better be using protection. Am I right people? I'd also like to point out that the guy yellng in the background of that version of mannish boy has a cool place in rock/blues history.

I think he means that he can make love to each of those women out on the line and make them come to orgasm in five minutes time, meaning he can make love to 12 women in the space of an hours time. Now that I've downloaded that song I have 24 credits left at the iTunes music store, want to check out some more Muddy Waters, check out Deep Down In Florida off the Muddy "Mississippi" Waters Live album, check out Nine Below Zero while you're there too. |

I got an email from my son today. I was excited! But then, I looked for higher meaning. Is he asking me something? Is he trying to tell me something important? Is this the key to more sleep? Should I somehow turn this in to a lottery number? Then it occured to me. I need to get away from the computer. I am going crazy. TEXT OF EMAIL: "njhnkjblgklvjvlghlghlgnhlmlhmglnmlnh.gm.gmlnlgn,hnhmnngnmjgngnhkngknkngk hnknkngfv.gmgh,hg,hfh,f.hn,fhn,gfn,fh,f,hn,fh,hn,g,fhg,nf,ffnf,gn,fgnf,h f,nhf, fhnfn,nf,n,nfnf, nfh, nhfnhn,n,fgn, fgnffgfghnhn, hfn, fghfnf,ng,nf,hnh ,hnfh,h,nhh,,,,,hnfnh, fmhhmhjjhf,nc,, ,n,hnh, gmhn, fghn, gmhmffmgmhmgmhmhmgmjgmhmgmhmmmmmhmmhmmh,,hn,fhnmlghlmlh kgnlhmkghnh,m,hn nh,h.;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;\[''''''''''''//////////////////////////// '''''''''''hgmflnfg, nhkff. g. nm, ] '" My reply to that was, "eep op ork ah ah". We had a lot of people call in "sick" today. It was that kind of a weekend. Rained all of last week, the weekend was nice....boom.... a rash of earaches*. I had one of those mornings. That's all I can say. From about 5.30am - 9.30am I was having an outter-body experience. Wasn't sure if I was me or not. Sleep has not be pouring freely from the pillow. I get small stretches and then I am awakened by cry or call. It's a kind of sleep torture. Oh. So I was downtown around centre street. I heard all kinds of clapping...cheering.... Then I saw a bunch of people holding signs - maybe about 150 people. The signs said, "spiderman for president". For a moment it seemed normal. Then I realized they were filming a movie.
* (you can't go wrong calling in sick with an earache. Here's what you do. The day before you are going to call in, mention in passing that your ear hurts / you feel a bit dizzy. Then call in w/ the earache. Two days are reccomened - no one is sick for just one day. Then, come back to the office with cotton in your ear and a put a bottle of ear drops on the desk..... Of course this only works for office jobs. Stay at home parents and the self employed are on their own. |
